Date Night..

last night i went out with my boyfriend for dinner. we decided to go to Outback. i was so hungry and didnt eat a huge lunch because i was out during the day and i knew i was going to dinner. we got to the restaurant to find out there was a 1 HOUR and 25 MINUTE WAIT! i thought i was going to hit the floor... but we waited, and i went there prepared! 

i checked my points on Etools before i got there. i had the Grilled Chicken on the Barbie for 7 points with a side of Fresh Veggies for 0 points. i got a side house salad for 5 points, and used half of my dressing for 3 points. (i was in the mood for blue cheese) we shared my favorite thing of all time---- COCONUT SHRIMP, which was 11 points for the whole appetizer, and half of it was 6 points.... i used 3 extra points from my weekly points. 

overall, i say i didnt do too bad! i had a white wine spritzer, but ended up not drinking it all. 

so far today i had a thomas' everything bagel thin with 1 tbsp of weight watchers cream cheese, and a banana. 4 points for my morning so far =) 

today i will be doing laundry and cleaning, and i will wear my activelink in the process

breakfast is served..

first things first...I AM OFF THIS WEEKEND and IT FEELS AMAZING!!

it gives me more time to plan on what i wanna eat and to actually go out and walk and exercise if i want. this morning i made the oatmeal pancake that i blogged about a while back. its one of the easiest and tastiest things to make & eat. there are only 2 ingredients and thats eggwhites and oatmeal.

1/3 cup of eggwhites
a packet of oatmeal ( i use the WW oatmeal which is packaged as a cup )

you mix them together in a bowl. pour into a pan and even it out so its flat. the oatmeal kinda falls into the middle of the pan so just use a spoon and even it out. wait a few minutes and flip it over to cook the other side. i use sugar free syrup but you can use whatever you like =)

after the pancake i had a banana to make sure i was going to be full until the afternoon. a banana is always filling for me.

Being Active...

so there is a new thing with weight watchers and its called and ActiveLink. you basically wear it all the time and at the end of the day you plug it into your computer and it tracks how active you are and calculates the pointsplus you have earned. for the first 7 days, there is an assessment as you wear it so it can make a plan for you. today is my 1st day and im about to go out for a walk. 

i wanted to say that the peppermint mocha latte from starbucks was REALLY good, but its kind of expensive. i only got it because i had a $5 giftcard and that wasnt even enough!

i did find out that Dunkin Donuts has one also, but the pointplus value is more, but im sure less money. so its all about what your comfortable with. the medium was 5 points and a small was 3 points for dunkin! i think its because they use a syrup that is not less fat like starbucks makes their latte's a skinny if you want. 

anyways..... i have an overnight tonight at work so i need to pack my food wisely because whenever we do something like this, there is always JUNKFOOD and its hard to be good and eat the better stuff.

hi everyone!

so my last post was about me going for my weigh in. this was on tuesday. i walked up to WW which is about 2 miles away from me. it felt good to walk, even though it was freezing outside! now, my last actual weigh in was in July because ive been bad and havent been able to make time to go. my schedule has been so crazy. but i promised myself after this week that i will be going weekly again.

so since July, i was only up 1 LB. i was amazed by this because at one point i had gained like 7 LBS. im just happy i was able to knock it off in time before the holidays. ive been stuck, but i am confident i will keep losing.

today im going to try something i have never had from starbucks. its a Skinny Peppermint Mocha Latte with non fat milk. a Tall one is 2 points and a Grande is 3 points. i think im gonna go for the grande! makes more sense i think =)

the link below shows you the nutritional info for this drink. you can change it around to how you like it. some prefer regular milk and maybe whipped cream. i said no whipped cream !

Im back!

Hey everyone! So much has been going on and i cant even explain how sorry i am for not keeping up.

Work has been crazy- i got promoted and i work crazy early hours so when im not working i am so lazy and sleepy.

But i come back on my day off with an awesome recipe that i made today! Its from weight watchers and its called apple cinnamon muffins. When i went pumpkin last year there was a stand that had these amazing apple muffins. My boyfriend loved them so i made him a batch and a batch for my house!

It was really easy, and there were not many ingredients.

Its perfect to bring to work or even a holiday party. Im thinking of bringing them to thanksgiving! A picture below has the ingredients and the recipe. Enjoy everyone!!!

Take me out to the Ball Game...

I went yesterday to the mets / yankees game. We tailgated for a few hours before the game. I brought my own reduced fat hot dog and a chicken burger. I knew what the points were so i felt better about it.

I wasnt able to weigh in this morning but ive been staying on track as much as i can.

Last week was my graduation party which was difficult but i handled it pretty well with the drinking amd eating all day long. I think i drank more than ate :)

There are a FEW of my favorite things...

here's whats been going on......

  • been tracking every bite i take!
  • "if you bit it, write it" -- my leader
  • exercising and getting those activity points!
  • walked almost 5 miles yeserday--7 activity points right there!


i have loved these since i was a kid! and 6 of them are 4 points! i could eat a whole box LOL but knowing the points plus value is definitely easier.

summer time BBQ dinner! beans, a light hot dog, and a pickle! 5 points plus! 

japanese food is one of my downfalls. here is the soup and salad that usually comes with everything. the soup id 2 points and the dressing on the salad is also 2 points. 

smart ones breakfast--5 points--scrambled eggs with melted cheese..and potato's. 

more japanese! edammame is 3 points for a cup and the sushi roll behind is a veggie roll which is 4 points

smart ones breakfast again. turkey sausage, egg and cheese. 6 points. and i made an iced coffee =)

here is the KFC i spoke about in a different post. this was the rest of my points last night -- 12 points.
2 grilled chicken drum sticks--4 points
biscuit--5 points
green beans--0 points
mashed potato's with gravy--3 points
EXTREMELY FILLING! 
(i dont always get the potato's)

and my favorite--SUBWAY SALAD--this time it has double chicken...which makes the salad more than 6 points..it was 9 points! but more filling. (i didnt ask for it--the guy just gave it to me =p )

I HIT THE 25 LB MARK FINALLY! 

going for 20 more lbs now =D

hey everyone...

im finding myself very forgetful with coming on and writing on here. but i will say, im in a good place right now and will finally be able to head back to WW this week. i havent been able to go because my work schedule sucks! (thats RETAIL for you) -- but i am hating that i cant be at my meetings. i WILL be back this week..i know my leader follows, so i will see you SUNDAY =D 

i have been taking so many photos of my meals and i do wanna share them with everyone, as soon as i upload them. 


so this is a simple breakfast. the waffles are 4 PTS for 2 sets and i LOVE turkey sausage with syrup. My breakfast always has some kind of fruit on the side. That's cantaloupe. And of course, sugar FREE syrup!


i am a HUGE bagel freak, but an actual bagel could be half of my days points, which is not good. so i really enjoy the "Flagel's" by Thomas'. these are the everything ones, and are only 3 points. I use 2 tbs of WW cream cheese which is 2 points. With my coffee, i am full until lunch! 


SUBWAY---Eat Fresh? .. yup! i LOVE their salads! a salad with grilled chicken is 3 points and then whatever veggies you add on are almost nothing. i add cheese for 2 points, a fat free dressing, and sometimes croutons. My Salad is usually 6 points! 


An 8 point breakfast, but very filling! i made 2 eggs over easy--4 points--with frozen hash browns which were 2 points for 1 1/2 cup-- & 2 slices of WW toast for 2 points. Thats Theraflu in the cup because i was sick this week! =)


And Finally my favorite thing i saw this week--- CHICKEN BURGERS from Weight Watchers! only 3 points! but of course they are impossible to find! If anyone does, let me know where! =)

Tonight, my mom BBQ'd and i forgot to take a pic! We made Tony Roma's Ribs, bakes beans and corn on the cob. The worst part of course were the ribs! But i controlled myself, and ate just enough to use the rest of my daily points plus. 3 ribs were 8 points, the beans were 2 points for a 1/4 cup, and corn on the cob was 2 points with the butter. It was hard not to eat more of the ribs, but i have to say i am happy i didn't! 

So, these are just a few of my meals, and i intend on sharing more of course. I am sorry its not so often, but my hours at work are killing me! Thanks to everyone who is reading. It means a lot to me =)

If you like fast food...

Fast food is hard to eat but the one thing i find not to bad is KFC. For 9 points i get 2 GRILLED drumsticks, green beans and a biscuit. Its totally worth the points and its filling.

I forgot to take a pic but its a quick meal to grab while being out, and healthier than a burger and fries.

Im still looking for some recipies from anyone!! I need some more ideas :)

food shopping...

so i decided that i wanted to go to stop and shop on my own today and buy some random things. the one thing thats making it hard for me recently is the fact that i am eating a lot of the same things and i am running out of ideas!

so i bought some things that i dont have all of the time.

ill see what happens with this week. im just trying to get rid of what i gained. its such a bad feeling.

and this weather is not helping at all because im not able to go walk like i enjoy!

Today was a better day..

So today was better for me. I ate within my points and feel better about myself. The one thing i need to do is change up my foods because im eating the same things over and over.

So id like to ask everyone to help me out and maybe send over some of tour favorite meals or recipes. It would be great to see what everyone eats and change up my eating style a little.

no excuses...

there really is no excuse for me not writing on here in over a month. ill just be honest and say i was off the bandwagon and i have been struggling. today is the day that i get back on track. i dont know why i have been doing this to myself, but i am really mad. i have gained like 5 lbs and im not happy at all about this.

TRACKING TRACKING TRACKING is all i am going to do!! and if im not supposed to eat it, I WONT! i really wanna do this.

Trying to be creative...

Im still struggling with getting past this 24.6 lbs. its annoying. I need to try new things.

Today, i made pasta with peas and balsamic dressing. The pasta is the new portion ones. I saw them on tv and had to get them. It cooks in 3 min. Its 8 points for the whole portion, but i just used a cup of it. I believe its a cup and a half.

I cut up a pear and took 2 kims ricecakes with chocolate. Those are from fairway and are sooooo good!

I need ideas for new meals :) help me out .....

when you pre heat the oven, its at 200..and dont let them totally melt, its to to heat them up so that when you push the tip of the hug down, its not totally melted!!

HEY EVERYONE!!!

i apologize again for the lack of writing! last week was a really crazy week for me at work and at the end of the day, i just cant wait to hit my bed HAHA... but i have so many things to share with you guys.

hope everyone had a great Easter/Passover weekend... i made some really good things with my mom and they were a BIG hit at the table =)

lets see...where do i begin...

the first thing we made was for dessert-- there really is no name for them but they were so simple..

you need Snap Pretzels, Hershey's Hugs, and M&M's


First, you lay the pretzels on a sheet with the Hugs on top of each one. 
Second, you put them in the oven heated at 325, and leave them in there for about 3 minutes. 
When you take them out, you place the M&M's on the point of each hug, which will them push down into a flat shape. 


The put them in the fridge or freezer so that they harden a little. 
IT'S REALLY THAT EASY!!! Points Plus Value = about 1 1/2. 
SO GREAT FOR EVERY HOLIDAY!!! =)

The next thing we made was another dessert. These are Weight Watcher Approved DEVIL DOGS!

for this one you will need 1/2 cup egg whites, a packet of the chocolate WW smoothie (2), LITE cool whip (1), and seram wrap 












OK! i know there is a lot going on here with the pictures, but i wanted to show you a step by step of this one. 

First, you mix the egg whites and the smoothie mix together. Your going to fry it in a pan just like a pancake. 

Once both sides are done, let it cool for about 5 minutes. After its cool, spread 2 TBSP of the cool whip on the entire thing. 

Next, Roll it and wrap it in seram wrap, and refrigerate until its ready to be served. 

Each long roll is 3 points. We cut them into 6 pieces to serve, so 2 pieces cut would be 1 point. 

They are DELICIOUS!!

One of my FaVoRiTe things...

SUSHI!!! but i rarely eat fish ones, usually vegetable =)

today i went with my mom to one of our favorite places for lunch. they have a great sushi special for lunch which is 2 rolls for $8.00 and it comes with soup and salad. now these rolls come with 8 pieces instead of 6, and i was not prepared for that. so it left me with less points for dinner tonight, but thats ok. i just have to deal. ( i could have easily ate only 6 pieces from each, but ahh the hell with it!)

i love getting a avocado roll and a sweet potato roll. 


so for 16 pieces of sushi, it was 11 points. the soup is 2 points, and the salad dressing is 2 points. 
if your a sushi lover, its worth it =) 

i just have to eat on the light side for dinner. 

but i do have to say, i did come home and do my PUNCH! work out because it was kind of chilly out today and my allergies were killing me. so i did a 30 min workout.

Good Morning...

good morning everyone!

this morning i made one of my favorite creations that had been given to me. im not sure if i have mentioned this, but my mom works for weight watchers. her and all of her friends are always coming up with different ideas and this is one of that that has stuck with me.

its called the Oatmeal Pancake!

its very simple, and only takes about 5 minutes to make, not even.

you need 1/3 cup of eggwhites (0 points), a packet of oatmeal (or in my case, Weight Watchers Oatmeal) (3 points), and a few sprays of cooking spray (no more than 5 sprays for 0 points).


you take the oatmeal and mix it in a bowl with the eggwhites..pour it into the pan and kind of even it out so its easy to flip. 

 this photo shows it after the first flip. i usually flip it a few times because i like both sides to be semi dark =)
once it is done, you top it off with a little sugar free syrup, and its ready to eat! 

This is Seriously one of the easiest and delicious things to make in the morning! 

this pancake is only 3 points! plus whatever the syrup is =)

i am sure posting a lot today! but i am making up for lost time =) =) =) ---

i just saw on the SkinnyGirl website that not only are they coming out with WINE, but there are going to be flavored VODKA's and a PINA COLADA!! i am so excited. this is a chance for people on diets to still enjoy themselves while drinking on the lighter side.

and the WiNnEr is ...

i just got back from applebees and i totally changed my mind on what i was going to have. since i have tried the chicken and the shrimp meals from WW, i decided to go for the steak meal. it was AMAZING! its called the cabernet mushroom sirloin. for 12 points, it was extremely filling and i am so satisfied with my decision.

after all of my walking today, i gained 6 activity points, which is pretty awesome =)


there are mushrooms and onions under the steak. it was so good! i highly recommend it =)

Walk walk WALK..

I woke up today feeling so motivated. I went out for a walk and i was not letting the wind stop me. I walked 5.52 miles today. Makes me feel so good.

This morning i tried a smartones breakfast meal with waffles and turkey sausage. It was very good.

And for lunch i made up a bacon and cheddar sandwich in these Amazing pita pockets with a side of blueberries.

Tonight im going to applebees with my boyfriend. The new WW meals are so good there, and ill be having the shrimp one for 8 pts plus.

I love being prepared!

its been a while...

hey everyone. i apologize for not writing in a while. i have been so busy and just have not had the time to get on here every day to write.

here is a little update..

last week i wasnt able to go weigh in because i was away for the weekend.
this week has been a little bad with my tracking, but i just have to deal with the results and move on to the next day.

i am ready to get back on track. the weather has been amazing, and i have not been able to enjoy it until today. took my dog for a walk earlier. it was more like he was walking me =)

POINT 2 AWAY!!!!!

this morning i went to weigh in, and i was literally . 2 away from my 25lbs!! this is insane LOL -- im ok with it because i could have gained and i would have been really mad if that happened. i didnt get to stay for my meeting because i had to be at work. but this week, i am being extremely strict with myself! i have no excuse not to make it next week, and continue weeks after that.

trying new things...

i got creative with my lunch one day and made an arugula salad with strawberries, blueberries, cheese and dressing that has no carbs, sugar, etc... it was really really good! on the side, if u can see, there is some pita with hummus. and a snack from WW.

todays lunch below was a sandwich, sugar free jello, a WW bar, and fruit. as u can tell, i love my berries =)


 so when you hear the words brussel sprouts, what do you think of? before i ate them, i thought they were the most disgusting thing ever. just looking at them made me not want to eat them. expanding your horizons and trying new things is a great way to eat healthier. i never thought i would enjoy the brussel sprouts, but i really did. we made them with a little olive oil, and some garlic powder, and roasted them in the oven. these were on the side of a delicious hamsteak! my dinner tonight was definitely a filling one. (i didnt eat the corn--i was way too full) LOL !


im going to get creative tomorrow and come up with my own pasta & zucchini..lets see what happens!

been under the weather...

hey everyone,
sorry i havent wrote in a few days. i have been sick with this horrible cold and all i am doing is sleeping if i am not working. i did find time last night to fit in my work out which was good because i really needed it. i had chinese for dinner and i feel it in my hands this morning (all the salt).

so today i plan of drinking a LOT of water. of course ill work out later on again, because i am loving the feeling afterwards. it makes me feel good about myself.

i work out...

so last night, i decided to do a work out that i have from weight watchers. it was 30 minutes of kick boxing with these weight gloves. its called "PUNCH!", and its available for members at all of the centers. 


all i have to say is my body was hurting today, and its not because i am not feeling good. i was feeling the work out as soon as i started. i really want to try and do it every night so i can get the hang of it. after 30 minutes, it moves on to 35 minutes and then 45 minutes. 


it felt really good to have done something for my body besides eating right. 


does anyone else do great work outs? i know people rave about zumba all the time..

up & DOWN..

hey everyone! so today i went for my weekly weigh in, and i was down 1/2 a pound. i know its good, but at the same time, im frustrated because i feel like im doing so well throughout the week and then when it comes down to the weigh in, im up and down with the same few pounds. i need something to spice it up a little bit, and i think i am going to force myself to work out for an hour each night. yes i am tired after work every day, but i gotta do something besides eating right, because its just not enough right now. i have to hit this 25lb mark and keep going! 


so after my weigh in, i passed the bagel place and was so tempted to go in and get a bagel, or even worse, an egg sandwich. but i said NO and stuck with my vitatop that was defrosting in my bag. 


i didnt have time to make lunch, so i had grabbed a quick lunch special from benihana. it really wasnt a lot of food, and it sure kept me full all day long. im really not looking for anything to eat for dinner right now. sundays are my cheat day since i have the whole week to be good =)

the weekend is here...

i am 2 days away from my weigh in and i really hope i dont blow it this time. last night i went to trader joe's with my mom and i freakin LOVE that store! if i could buy one of everything, i would. we had a ball there last night. 


since today is friday during lent, i am not eating meat. for breakfast i ate a multigrain bagel from trader joe's which was 5 points. i just made my lunch for work, which was a salad with cucumbers, beets that are ready to eat (2 for 1 point), a cheese stick(2points), and 2tbsp of no calorie dressing for ZERO points. ill pack some fruit and a snack to go with it as well.

had a bad day..

yesterday was a really bad day and i found myself eating whatever i could get my hands on. it was not good, but i just have to deal with it now and move on. i started out having breakfast at home, and when i stopped for coffee at this AMAZING bagel store, i then craved a bagel. and of course i had one =( these are things i have to work ok. my self control gets crazy sometimes and i just need to say no to things i shouldnt have. 


i am hoping to come home tonight and make a good dinner. maybe ill stop at the store and make another recipe i have found.

applebees!

one of my favorite places to eat is applebees! there are certain things i eat there and one of my favorite things is the oriental chicken salad. i get the half size with grilled chicken & of course the dressing on the side. but tonight i got something new...


if you didnt know, applebees carries weight watchers meals, and they released 3 new meals to the menu! i tried the jalapeno lime shrimp meal for 8 points. it was really good! i highly recommend it. there was just enough food in the serving. 


i just printed some recipe's i wanna make, and i hope to have made one for tomorrow. im heading to trader joe's with my mom tonight. one of my favorite places to food shop! =)

10 Cent Wings...

monday, tuesday and wednesday are the 3 nights where its possible that my friends will ask me to go and get wings. its so hard to say no because the place where we go is just amazing! wings are not the healthiest things to eat. 3 of them are 9 points alone. so tonight is going to be rough. and it doesnt help when i dont eat until amost 8:00 because i last ate at 12 this afternoon. so ive been picking on things at my house. not cool! but im just going to enjoy myself and get back on it tomorrow. no beer for me either! =)

Decisions, Decisions...

when going to a party, its really hard to decide what to eat, especially when there is so much to choose from. i wanna say that i did pretty well today with choosing what to eat. i ate things like sauteed veggies, a very small piece of a hero with chicken and mozzarella, very little baked ziti, a piece of bread, beets, and the smallest portion of mashed potatoes with cheese melted into them. it was a bunch of different things, but i did good this morning and i had very small breakfast knowing i was going to have so much food to pick from. 


dessert was not too bad either. i started picking on fruit, and then i had the smallest piece of ice cream cake. i just love the crunchies, so i had to have it =) its all about portion control. as long as i didnt have big amounts of each item, i think i am good. and remember, tomorrow is a new day. 


i already made my wrap for lunch tomorrow. so thats my 3 points for lunch right there. ill be bringing fruit and a snack with me as well. =)

Weigh In Day...

so if you remember, last week i was disgusted with myself because i was just non-stop eating for the entire week, and thats why i did not want to go to weigh in. this week i took off everything i gained and got back to being 1 pound away from my 25lb mark. i am really happy with this outcome because as of last week i was up like 4lbs and i was so mad at myself. i am feeling extremely motivated and its only sunday. this week is it, and i am going for more than just that pound.

i came home from weight watchers and made a simple breakfast. the reason is because i have a birthday party later this afternoon, and i want to be able to enjoy myself while not being so crazy with what i eat at the same time. i made rye toast with butter and sugar free raspberry jelly, and had a bowl of grapes on the side.


i plan on using more recipes this week as well because i was so satisfied with the one i used this past week. i already have one planned to make for my lunch tomorrow. again, i found it on weightwatchers.com, and its a wrap with cucumbers, tomatoes, hummus, and salt & pepper. its so simple and its only 3 points for the whole recipe. its quick, so easy, and something i can make more than once this week for lunch.

USING RECIPE'S...

i look up different Weight Watchers recipe's all the time because i get them through their etools. do i ever make them? its very rare, but tonight was different. i got out of the allergist at 4:00 and i told my mom to just go to stop & shop for a few things...

she was making tuna salad and egg salad, but i had my own idea of what i wanted...

i found this really good recipe for a "Chicken Salad with Walnuts & Grapes." i am so happy that i decided to make it tonight, because it was so delicious! the portion is a 1/2 cup and i had it on a lite roll with what didnt fit on the roll on the side. there were so many things in the salad like grapes, walnuts, ginger, fat free mayo, fat free plain yogurt, chicken, celery, carrots, and scallions.

i need something fast!

after a long long day at work, i cant wait to get out and have dinner. i eat lunch at 12 or 1 o'clock every day and by time i get out, i am STARVING! todays lunch was what i explained last night, the roast beef with broccoli and a baked potato. i had cantaloupe and a clementine today as well as a banana with my breakfast. 


on my way home from work, i looked up the points for something quick from one of my favorite japanese places in the area. i ordered miso soup, salad, sweet potato sushi, and gyoza. unfortunately they forgot my soup, so that worked out better for me. i am so full right now. japanese can be difficult because its so high in sodium. drinking a lot of water with it helps. 


i feel like doing some kind of work out right now because i have been SUPER lazy lately.

FAT TUESDAY...

so tonight is the night before ASH WEDNESDAY, where we give up something for LENT for 40 days. this is always hard for me because i never keep up with it. this year is going to be different....


i have decided to give up ALL FAST FOOD!!! and that includes SUBWAY which is such an easy thing for me to get on my way to work, & DUNKIN DONUTS!!! that is going to be the hardest because i LIVE off of their egg white wake-up wraps in the morning. this will totally help me eat healthier, because i will be forced to make my own meals from home and hopefully ill save some money HAHA


tonight my boyfriend & i are going to our friends house for taco night. i have saved 13 points for tonight. im so excited =) 


while my mom made roast beef for dinner, i took 5oz, a baked potato, and broccoli and put it aside for tomorrow's lunch at work--which is all a 9 point meal! (ill post a pic tomorrow)


weighing your foods really helps! its amazing how much food you get per OZ. i use my scale daily and i highly recommend it to everyone.

some of my FAVORITE things to eat...

so if you know me, you know that i have an OBSESSION with COCONUT SHRIMP. if its on an appetizer menu when i go out to eat, it is a MUST that i order it to share with someone. (if i dont eat it all to myself! haha) tonight, that is exactly what i had, except i bought it from stop & shop in the freezer section, and i made it at home. they are the ones from the restaurant Margaritaville. i ate half for dinner, which was 6, and i refrigerated the rest for my lunch tomorrow, which will be a salad with the coconut shrimp on top. it was actually pretty good. 3 minutes more, it would have been more crunchy! 


so another one of my favorite things to get for lunch or dinner is SUBWAY! what you see here is a 6 inch whole wheat sub with turkey, american cheese, lettuce, pickles & honey mustard dressing. i get baked chips on the side & have some fruit as well. i try to drink a bottle of water with each meal. when i am at work, i tend to drink more, which is always good =) subway is so easy to grab when your on the go. i also really enjoy their salads with grilled chicken and a bunch of veggies. MmMm!!!!


getting back in the game..

i am totally disgusted with myself. i need to get back on track and really make this happen this week. i am off today, so i am thinking of going for a walk since it doesnt look too cold out. 


its a new day, and im feeling good

this weekend was a struggle..

so unfortunately i did not weigh in this morning and ill have all of the excuses in the world...


1. i had work at 10 and needed to get ready
2. i wanted to sleep an extra hour
3. i just didnt feel like getting up...


the list can go on and on .. but its no excuse. i should have just gone. i think the main reason was because i knew i was going to be up and now down this week. i was good until friday, and then i just went down hill by not controlling myself. it was just a hard few days. 


so since i didnt go this morning, i decided to just have a free for all today, which was not good either and i will be paying for it tomorrow! it happens sometimes, and i am mad at myself, but you have to live and its gonna happen from time to time. 


tomorrow is a new day and i am getting back on track.

the weekend is a killer..

good morning,


happy friday! but that means nothing to me because i am working ALL weekend...BLAH! ..


weighing in on a sunday morning really helps me stay on me feet. if i happen to go out on a friday or saturday night, i am watching what i eat & drink. i dont drink half as much as i used to, and its helped me out so much. it also saves me lots of money =)


so far i have had breakfast already, and i had a bowl of cereal with fat free milk and a yogurt on the side. i will still be hungry, so im going to bring some fruit with me to work to munch on before my break time. so far this is a 6 points plus meal. each day i have 27 points plus value to use...


doing some kind of exercise is a main part of the whole system. of course i belong to a gym, but do i go all of the time? ABSOLUTELY NOT! it is so hard with my schedule, that by the end of the day, i am exhausted. my job entitles me to literally be on my feet all day. i am constantly running around and up and down stairs. but that is not enough, and the reason is because my body is way too used to it and i am doing the same things everyday. 


tonight, i am going ice skating. i even bought my own skates =) this is a really good work out. i totally feel it in all parts of my body. so 2 hours of that will be great for me. 


now, i need to figure out what i am going to have for lunch. maybe ill pick up a 6inch subway sandwich.


there are so many possibilities out there. i need to be positive and be strict with myself. i know i can do this.

still hungry...

i already finished all of my points for today, and used 1 extra for the week. but i am kinda hungry =) 

something filling is what i need, but also something that is 0 points plus value. maybe some fruit? 

the best way to make sure that i am staying within my points range is to ALWAYS write down all of the foods that i eat. i carry around my tracking book everywhere i go. all of my meals get written down. 

when i am going out to eat, if i am able to find nutrition information online, i figure it all out before i even get to the restaurant, and know what i am going to have when i get there. it is that simple. 

the reason for my blog...

i want to share my journey on losing weight. i began my journey a little over a year ago. i have had my up's and downs along the way, and should have lost more than i have. but i am not giving up. 


i have been doing weight watchers, and this works best for me. i really enjoy the lifestyle this program have given me. i am able to eat whatever i want as long as i track my points. its so easy. 


since december of 2011, i have lost 24lbs. i plan on losing another 30lbs. 


i plan on blogging as much as i can to give tips, advice, and even some ideas on foods to eat. it does get hard from time to time on choosing what to eat. 


i weigh in on sunday mornings, so i am hoping for a good weigh in this weekend! 


This 1st pic is right before i started doing Weight Watchers in November of 2010. I was 191LBS there...UGH! Im on the left...

This photo is over a year later, December 2011, as I almost reach my 25LB mark. About 167LBS. Im on the left side again...
